Объектом обследования Проекта международных сопоставлений ООН (International Comparison programme) является валовой внутренний продукт, исчисленный методом конечного потребления. Его общая величина рассматривается как сумма расходов нации на товары и услуги, используемые для индивидуального потребления (individual consumption of population); коллективного потребления; формирования основных фондов для их прироста и взамен изношенных; увеличения материальных оборотных средств; чистого экспорта.
